“As we drive along this road called life, occasionally a gal will find herself a little lost. And when that happens, I guess she has to let go of the coulda, shoulda, woulda, buckle up and just keep going.”-Carrie Bradshaw

THANK GOODNESS FOR SPRING!

I must admit that I have been plagued by the winter blues in a major way! My motivation to complete any type of project-big or small-has been completely lacking which explains my lack of posting. It's sad how much a grey sky and bitter cold can damper our mood and our creativity.
This weekend was finally the first warm and sunny in many long months. We spent the days outside with the kids either playing basketball, jumping on the trampoline, shooting the BB gun for the first time, and just about anything else we could think of to soak up the glorious Vitamin D.
Despite its near pathetic state of being, I broke out the camera and wondered around Glenda's property just snapping pictures of the beautiful day.
By the end of my journey through the weekend, I realized how much just DOING something outside for even the smallest amount of time could bring me out of hibernation.

I may not be a professional or trained photographer, but a good friend told me that art is something that you create and makes YOU happy so here ya go :)

I love this image because it shows the contrast of the old winter branches with the new spring buds.

I caught Glenda and Soph cat napping on the porch.

The kids worked really hard spring cleaning the playhouse Phil built. I just adore how they lined up their little chairs so perfectly.

Livi, Carson, and Iggy the dog watching the other kids play basketball in the The Bulldogs versus The Raging Nerds Championship game.
