“As we drive along this road called life, occasionally a gal will find herself a little lost. And when that happens, I guess she has to let go of the coulda, shoulda, woulda, buckle up and just keep going.”-Carrie Bradshaw

The Wedding of the Century

The Wedding plans are well underway! After the initial shock (and later acceptance) of the cost reality of hosting a large wedding, we really began to enjoy the excitement of it all.

Church has been picked, reception hall booked, photographer chosen, guest list finalized-all in 2 weeks lol

On October 23, we attended our first bridal show. Awesome fashion show and fun stuff for the couple! Although one recommendation, needed a bag to carry all of the pamphlets and business cards you collect! Thank goodness my Matron of Honor Extraordinaire carries a folding one in her purse at all times.

On the next random Sunday afternoon, my mom, future mother in law and I stopped by Hughes Gift Gallery. What an awesome hometown place full of unique gift ideas! The staff was wonderful and later my fiance and I both agreed we will be registering for a few specialty items. Mom also found what would become our toasting goblets on a lower shelf in the Sale Room. I've been mentioning I wanted blue glasses to match our primary color and although many contemporary choices like Things Remembered are nice, they just aren't me. In addition to being the perfect color and slightly varied in His and Hers sizes, they were only $5 each!

We also found Bridesmaid Luncheon Wedding Cake Candle Favors (again, Sale Room!) and this awesome locally produced sign that fits our story perfectly. The sign will be incorporated into the Rehearsal Dinner decor and then eventually hang in our home.
