“As we drive along this road called life, occasionally a gal will find herself a little lost. And when that happens, I guess she has to let go of the coulda, shoulda, woulda, buckle up and just keep going.”-Carrie Bradshaw

Welcome, Flynn!

This Sunday, we will be traveling to Columbus to celebrate the newest Lafferty baby's upcoming arrival! Shannon is due shortly after Christmas and we will be welcoming Flynn to this world.

In honor of Flynn, we are having a baby luncheon. The menu will include:
  • N/A Mimosas (low acid Orange Juice with Sparkling Cider)
  • Shrimp Cocktail
  • Artichoke Dip (lower carb option with Fat Free Cream Cheese and Sour Cream as a substitue for Mayonnaise and Regular Cream Cheese)
  • Hummus (low calorie) with cut vegetables and low carb wheat crackers
  • Seafood Bisque (made with Fat Free Half and Half)
  • Italian Salad with vinaigrette dressing
  • Fruit Skewers
The menu is inspired by this awesome entertaining themed cookbook my parents bought for me two Christmases ago. This cookbook is an essential to anyone who loves to entertain. Include so many menu and gift ideas with detailed nutritional information.

In addition to the fun baby gifts I've picked up along the way, I decided to make something Flynn specific.

Wood letter purchased off the clearance table at Ollie's for $.12
Wooden monkey decal purchased at Walmart for $.50
Ribbon purchased at Walmart for $2.50
Letter painted with White Acrylic paint and used dry brush with Acrylic Bronze Pigment to make faux finish
All assembled using Wood and Craft glue

Hope Shannon likes it!
