“As we drive along this road called life, occasionally a gal will find herself a little lost. And when that happens, I guess she has to let go of the coulda, shoulda, woulda, buckle up and just keep going.”-Carrie Bradshaw

Bridesmaid Survival Kit

During the wedding process and a special thanks to Pinterest, I found about 100 ideas for our weddings be it guest or for a member of the wedding party. But despite my Pinterest Board of imaginary unlimited spending, most came down to the same principle as everything else in life $$MONEY$$. You know, the thing everybody loves, yet hates to talk about?

Honestly, if I had it may way all 300 chairs would have been covered in satin bows, each guest would have left with a case of wine, and the girls of my party? Well, let's just say after all of my OCD's they tolerated they probably deserve the Nobel Peace Prize.  -------->

None the less, I wanted to do something small, fun, yet inexpensive to add to their bridesmaid gifts.

My Version

The cosmetic bags were purchased at the Flower Factory during one of our wedding decor excursions. I was fortunate enough to have my Matron of Honor with me to distract the rest of the crowd while I shopped for them so in the end, these were a fun surprise. Items were purchased at the dollar store and Wal-Mart over the course of 3 months (as I saw things on sale or what not I picked them up).
Items included: nail file, razor, toothpicks/floss, cotton balls/pads, band aids, Ibuprofen, Q tips, moist towelettes (less messy than hand sanitizer), Shout wipe, chapsticks - flavor/color and medicated, bobby pins, tissues, extra deodorant, hairspray, Colgate Wisp toothbrushes (one of my favorite beauty secretes!) and various feminine hygiene items (where applicable).

I also used Puffy Paint to write each lady's nickname in pretty cursive. Puffy Paint + Glitter + Cute Print. Honestly, where can you go wrong, but seriously, what did we DO before puffy paint was invented?!

*a few notes. The two individually patterned bags were for the MOB and MOG. They enjoyed being a part of the "girls". I also considered each person individually an eliminated some inapplicable items where needed (ie: our Jr. Bridesmaid was 11. Certain an ah, more male related covering was not appropriate) So bottom line is, make it fun, but make it personal.
