Since moving into my apartment 3 years ago, every spring it has been my joyful project to create my little sanctuary on my balcony. It seems to expand every year, but I really love looking outside and seeing it come to life. I love that my family adds to it with gifts of plants. My favorite so far is the mini yellow rose bush Mom and Dad got for me this year so that I have a little bit of my Grammy and Nanny with me everyday (for those who don't know, yellow roses are a symbol is strength and love in our family). There is not a picture of this because it is in its down stage...I'll post one as soon as it blooms! I have found that nothing is better than taking cutting off fresh herbs in the morning, making breakfast and then sitting outside with a good book and coffee. Passion also loves to come outside and notify the complex that this is in fact her castle.
The herb markers were made courtesey of GTC. Jen and Shannon plotted the vinyl text and the plastic chips are left over vendor provided swatch samples. The metal rod was a recycle from an old holiday project.
Total cost: Herb markers- $0...my favorite price! Plants and supplies- $50.00
