Confessions of a Control Freak

I'm not one to blog during my lunch hour, but today has been frustrating(repeat to self:I love my job, I love my job, I love my job).

I've come to realize that I am about to embark upon my biggest project since moving from college to Columbus. The new project is that this independent control freak is compromising with her also independent man Matt as they work towards moving into his condo together before the harsh winter hits in this great state of Ohio lol (or as I refer to it: flatland hell).

I'm realizing as we talk over things and about where all of our "stuff" is going to go that for the first time, I can't plan for everything on my own. I plan to document this transition as I'm sure there will be some events that we will hopefully find extremely humorous down the road.

As of this week, we are both in the process of cleaning out our individual homes of junk and stuff that we really don't need, but seem to hang onto regardless.
I've managed to downsize from three pots and pan sets to only 4 individual pieces I plan to take with me, pack my school photo albums and yearbooks for relocation to Mom and Dad's (thanks!) and threw away 9 pairs of flip flops. It may not seem like a lot, but at least I feel accomplished. We shall see what the future months bring...
