“As we drive along this road called life, occasionally a gal will find herself a little lost. And when that happens, I guess she has to let go of the coulda, shoulda, woulda, buckle up and just keep going.”-Carrie Bradshaw

Steeler Nation

Dad and I went to the Steelers' last pre-season game on Thursday. IT WAS GREAT!
The first parking lot we tried was $40 to park. YIKES! I was seriously flabbergasted. In all the professional sporting events I have ever attended I have never seen such a thing! In my opinion, that parking lot better be made out of gold! We eventually found a lot around the corner for $25 (closer to what we expected).
On the way in the stadium, we discussed jersey etiquette for Dad's new Polamalu jersey (courtesy of Mom and me). Rule of thumb, always untucked lol
We had really sweet seats in the Club West section which is the middle tier in the stadium with a private entrance, air conditioned concessions, spotless bathrooms, tables to eat at, carpeted floors, and every other amenity possible. Unfortunately, we are now spoiled for life!
Big Ben started, although not impressively, but eventually found his rhythm. Leftwich hurt his knee and Dixon and Batch (Pittsburgh's version of Old Faithful) finished out the game.
Thank goodness my recent retail therapy wasn't present at the game because there were plenty of pretty things for my shiny credit card to purchase. The worst is looking around at all the fans and seeing their cool gear (this lady had a sweet purse!). I did come home an eBay purchase a specific shirt after seeing it on a guy in front of us.
Total cost =
Tickets $89 (retail value of $200 so definetly a bargain!)
Parking $25
Food and beer $40
Post game t-shirt purchase $20
Dad and I getting to do something we have wanted to do together for years - Priceless
