“As we drive along this road called life, occasionally a gal will find herself a little lost. And when that happens, I guess she has to let go of the coulda, shoulda, woulda, buckle up and just keep going.”-Carrie Bradshaw

An Old Wreath's Makeover

Quick weekend project...updating the existing Happy Holidays wreath for Valentine's Day.
I must admit I'm not a huge Valentine's Day fan nor do I necessarily  decorate for every holiday, but with the post-Christmas blues lurking around the corner a quick colorful change would remedy that gloomy feeling of the long winter still ahead.

As I was walking through the grocery store on Friday (for the second time this week I might add), I passed by their Valentine's Day display and immediately the metallic pink, purple, and silver paper chain caught my eye [OOO! SHINY!]. I then drifted into the clearance Christmas aisle (a MUST for all shoppers) where I located the lovely dove ornament. The heart is a cookie cutter swiped from Mom's collection a few years ago.

It's a nice way to brighten up the doorway as you come home each night.

Wreath $5 (Wally World)
Chain $1.99 (Meijer)
Dove Ornament $.39 (Meijer)
Heart Cookie Cutter FREE (Mom's Kitchen)
