“As we drive along this road called life, occasionally a gal will find herself a little lost. And when that happens, I guess she has to let go of the coulda, shoulda, woulda, buckle up and just keep going.”-Carrie Bradshaw

Saying Goodbye is Bittersweet

This weekend's project involved me, my Mom, and a lot of cleaning supplies.

Despite being moved into the condo for almost 2 months, I have been procrastinating the true deep cleaning required for the move out inspection at my old apartment. Thank goodness I'm lucky enough to have such an awesome Mom who is willing to help and whoever invented Mr. Clean Magic Erasers!

It took us almost 2 full days to scrub every nook and cranny and all of those places you tend to ignore when you are actually living there. During this process, I still stumbled upon piles of memories which required final assessments (to store or to toss-that is the question!).

I then started to realize that as truly happy as I am about moving in with Matt, in a way I am a little sad to lock 7898 Tributary Lane for the last time. Looking back, despite the not so always competent management I enjoyed my first "grown up" apartment because it grew with me. As I recall when I moved in August of 2007 my decor consisted of a purple and a red couch, bar mementos, and tons of ridiculous college photos. By November of 2010, the ugly couches were covered in faux suede chocolate brown and a white sofa chair was added. Beach paintings, family photos, coordinating potted plants and throw pillows accented the space. Oh how the times have changed.

What was your previous home like-before and after move in?
Think about how it reflects you and how your life has evolved during the time you lived there.
