“As we drive along this road called life, occasionally a gal will find herself a little lost. And when that happens, I guess she has to let go of the coulda, shoulda, woulda, buckle up and just keep going.”-Carrie Bradshaw

NYC Trip #3: Grand Central Station

Last week I was sent to NYC for work for the 3rd time. Each visit has allowed me to check another famous site from my "To See" list. We typically stay in Midtown Manhattan across from Madison Square Garden in the Hotel Penn. I love the feeling of the old building's architecture mixed with modern amenities. I definitely recommend staying there.
(I stole this picture from their website as my camera's abilities to take indoor photos are rapidly declining as you will see shortly)

This trip allowed me to visit Grand Central Station which I have been enamored with since watching a biography on its crazy history.
If you haven't noticed by now, I love capturing contrasting elements in photos such as the beautiful ornate early 1900's stone and marble versus the contemporary glass and steel.

The interior of course was just as breathtaking. Oh one day I shall have the digital SLR I desire to capture its true beauty, but for now I have this photo and my memory.

Finally, I find the whole pretty hiding the ugly very interesting. The interior is so glamorous and then you step through the doorway to the dirty train depots underground.
