Well, as of today at 8:15 PM, I am officially home! It took a lot of thought and prayer but my final decisions feel quite right. It was a bittersweet ending at my (now former) work place. I spent the past 4 years there going crazy with my dysfunctional work family. Thank goodness for technology or It would be a challenge to stay in contact with everyone!
As this new chapter begins, I think about how some people may view my decision as rash while others may see it as long overdue (mostly my close friends and family- you know who you are LOL). The most important thing is no matter how anyone views my decision, the important thing is I accept personal responsibility for my choices. One thing I have learned these past four years in both my professional and personal lives is the importance of owning your decisions and supporting them no matter how others may view them. If you never own up to anything, you will never grow as a person. Unfortunately, there are people in this world who will forever remain in the same spot because they refuse to learn from their past. Disclaimer: I'm not speaking of anyone specifically-just saying ;)
So I am going to continue to challenge myself to own my choices.
Have you ever not taken ownership of a decision and regretted it later?
I am proud to say that I owned this choice for sure and do not have any regrets under my belt. It's one thing to be sad for what could have been-it's another continuously wish it will happen. Do you know the difference?
