“As we drive along this road called life, occasionally a gal will find herself a little lost. And when that happens, I guess she has to let go of the coulda, shoulda, woulda, buckle up and just keep going.”-Carrie Bradshaw

Confessions of a Control Freak: Moving

Matt's been working on cleaning out the dresser  and I've been working on packing up my closet. We worked together to develop a documented financial plan, and I accomplished moving 5 storage bags to under his bed. Now I know you may be laughing because this may not seem like much but  for us, it's a great start! Also, I found a great moving checklist online  (seriously, what did the world do before EXCEL?!)

We are in the process of researching options for moving the heavy items back to Wheeling for storage (I thank our dear Lord everyday that my parents always seem to buy a house with a big basement!). Also,  we're checking into storage units for Matt's motorcycle because we don’t want to be "those neighbors" who take up too many parking spaces. If you have ever lived in a complex, you know what I mean. I've learned that parking spots are worth more than diamonds around here.

I've developed a couple interior design ideas that will hopefully be a good balance of masculine and feminine-minus my floral carved headboard and his 3' OSU helmet sticker above the couch. We concluded that it may be best to send him on a guy's poker weekend at Argosy while I do my decorating. For once, there is a use for casinos! Somehow my gut tells me I haven't seen the last of that helmet LOL The great Living Room furniture debate it still on though so we shall see where that ends up. Through careful arranging the Pop-A-Shop will find a new  home down in the kids' room. Now I know I would love to have a basketball game in our kitchen for immediate access, but well we all must make sacrifices I guess ;)

Next adventure-figure out how to fit all of our shoes into the closets. God certainly has a sense of humor pairing me with a man who favors his Jordans as much as I love my stilettos.
