“As we drive along this road called life, occasionally a gal will find herself a little lost. And when that happens, I guess she has to let go of the coulda, shoulda, woulda, buckle up and just keep going.”-Carrie Bradshaw

Fall Festivities

This weekend was crazy but full of fun!  Saturday began with Austin's last football game where they fell short of scoring the winning TD by 6 yards, but the team remained in good spirits.

The evening lead us into the Reynolds' Annual Wiener Roast-you may have noticed a trend that the Reynolds' family has many annual events-LOL. Phil delighted us with his homemade chili and chips and Glenda filled the tables with yummy taco dip, apple dumplings, pumpkin cookies, and everything else imaginable. The kids all dressed up for trick-or-treat around the campfire, sing along stories, and continued to run amok on one of the last warm, beautiful days of fall. My Matt and Matt C. spent hours carving their masterpieces while I continued to stuff my face with no abandon.

My project for this weekend was creating Austin's costume which I could not have done without the help of Felicia and Matt C. With Part 1 of movie #7 rapidly approaching and his brain deep into book #6, I thought Harry Potter would be a great choice. I didn't realize he would look as awesome as he did-see above! It gave me a small chance to whip out the theater make up skills from high school to create the perfect scar.

Sunday wrapped up the non-stop weekend with Mase's RYF Banquet which thankfully was much more organized and time efficient this year (it met my standard of organizational approval). The kids smiled big with their trophies and then proceeded to load up on caffeine and cupcakes. I may have to talk to those planners about not including ten tons of sugar at a kids' dinner, but at least it wasn’t  3 hours long this time :)
